Justin Bieber & Ariana Grande Rock Jingle Ball: 'Hairspray' Star Uses Vegan Diet For Fit Figure

What happens when Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande both rock the stage at an event? It's musical magic, as evidenced when the two famed singers hit their highest notes for the 2016 Jingle Ball. Justin and Ariana, along with other celebrities, delighted their fans at the event, which has a very special cause.

In addition to Bieber and Grande, performers ranging from America's Got Talent winner Grace Vanderwall to Fifth Harmony lit up the stage to celebrate the holidays, reported Billboard.

But it wasn't just about celebrating the season. The iHeartRadio Jingle Ball, held at Madison Square Garden in New York City on December 9, raised money for the Robin Hood Foundation. The organization focuses on helping the homeless in New York City and battling poverty.

Surprise stars included MØ joining Diplo for a live performance of her hit with Major Lazer, "Lean On," and her song with Justin, "Cold Water." Bieber subsequently performed the song as well.

With her success in Hairspray Live continuing to build buzz, Ariana delighted the audience with her performance. The songstress heated up the holidays with tunes from her album Christmas and Chill.

But it was Justin who closed the night, with the crowd responding to enthusiasm.

"This is the latest show I've done," admitted Bieber.

"You guys wanna stay up all night? Maybe an afterparty?"

While it had been several years since Justin was the headliner for the Jingle Ball, this time around he showed his growth, noted Billboard.

Bieber's highlights ranged from "Where Are U Now?" to "Company" and "Love Yourself," including standing center stage, holding a guitar, for "Cold Water."

Ariana was introduced by Chris Rock, who admitted that when it came to the event, he was "just the guy who can get [his daughter] into Jingle Ball" rather than a celebrity, noted Vanity Fair.

Grande sported a parka and furry earmuffs as she sang "Into You" and "Dangerous Woman." Both her outfit and Bieber's seemed designed for warmth, with Justin sporting a yellow zip-up hoodie.

And when it came to which performers earned the most screams of the night, Justin and Ariana came out on top, according to Variety.

"No screams throughout the night were louder than they were for Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber."

Grande also sang tunes from her album Dangerous Woman as well as holiday tunes, while Bieber turned the stage into an intimate setting with "Love Yourself."

Fans of Ariana are still exclaiming over her performance in Hairspray Live, and her personal trainer recently shared the secrets of her fit figure. Credit for that sleek physique goes to exercise and a vegan diet, reported Look.

Celebrity personal trainer Harley Pasternak dished on her diet and workout, and Grande herself has been candid about choosing a vegan diet.

"I have been a vegan for the last few years and it has been a great experience for me."

The songstress eats tofu, vegetables, and other vegan foods that are meat-free, dairy-free and egg-free. Grande also is a fan of blueberries.

"She's vegan, and she loves daikon, lotus, adzuki beans – almost like a macrobiotic Japanese [diet]," shared Harley.

In addition to her vegan diet, Grande emphasizes a healthy lifestyle in general, including getting enough sleep and exercise.

"I try and live a healthy lifestyle; eating right, exercise and sleep are all so important," she noted. "I try and stay really active all the time. I like to hike when I can and being on stage is a great workout."

When she's off stage, Ariana does an exercise a day from Harley's workout moves. Her trainer recommends that those who want to try the workouts do "five sets of 30 reps" for each exercise, revealing that her top three workout moves include a reverse lunge, pike plank, and superman.
