Body Shop launch a product for lightening and darkening foundations

I am really not sure of what I make of these!

The Body Shop have launched two bottles of lightening and darkening fluid. I am sure this is meant to be added to foundation in order to lighten or darken the foundation. Which could be handy as I am sure everyone on the planet has at least one bottle of foundation they threw away for being the wrong shade.

I am not sure of the UK price yet as the dollar price is $20 per bottle. This is a lot to spend on a product that is meant to correct another product. However, as the blurb pointed out, there are a lot of people happy with their foundation but wish it was half a shade lighter or darker but a whole shade drop is too light/dark. Fair enough in their case. I understand that.

I would presume that you could use a small bit of concealer to lighten the foundation or darken or indeed another foundation as most women do. I am still not sure of these. I wasn't sure if I had ever seen anything on the market for this before. I mean this is not anything other then a shade corrector. Weird.

I would feel that I want more from a $20 product then it just to correct my shade. Although, you could argue that Manic Panic, Stargazer and MAC all do a white face base which could be used for a gothic face white out or to lighten a product. I am still on the fence with this one.


I guess we will just have to see. The product is on sale in Body Shops and online.
