The GAP have announced today that they will be closing one fifth of their stores in North America. Which might sound like bad news relating to the economy - but it isn't.
Apparently it's all to do with our shopping habits changing.
The Wall Street Journal reported that the stores are closing because more people are shopping online now and having a large volume of stores open across the country doesn't make financial sense....which is fair enough.
You can see where they are coming from really.
I just feel bad for all those employees who no longer make 'financial sense' either.
