January 2017 In8Beauty - New Canadian Mask Subscription Unboxing and Review

I love new subscription boxes - especially Canadian subscriptions!!!! In8Beauty is a new sheet mask subscription service started right here in Alberta, Canada!

The thought behind In8Beauty Mask Subscription is "In8Beauty was created to make foreign beauty products (and especially Korean face mask sheets) affordable and accessible to our friends and neighbors across the country. And with so many face mask sheets to choose from what better way to sample them then through a monthly curated subscription box."

In8Beauty is $18 CAN a month + $8 shipping all over Canada. Each month you receive 5 masks delivered at the beginning of the month! (Also, if you are just interested in a one time purchase, not a subscription you can buy 1 month for $20 + shipping)

Full disclosure here - I won a year subscription to In8Beauty back in an Instagram contest so I have received this at no cost. This is not sponsored in any way and I am choosing to share this subscription because I am excited to see a new Canadian subscription like this!

Here is a look at the January In8Beauty Box:

I love the variety of the 5 masks and there is 2 especially that I am really excited about!

Here is a closer look at the masks included this month:

Etude House 0.2mm Mask - "Strawberry" ~ $2.00 US. Low-irritant mask made of breathable 0.2mm air sheet. Contains strawberry extract and Niacinamide. Provides brightness, even tone, moisture, and clarity to skin.

Etude House is a well known korean beauty brand - it was one of the first k-beauty brands that I was introduced to. While I have tried quite a few of their products, I have not tried many of their masks so I look forward to trying this!

Nature Republic Real Nature Mask Sheet - "Avocado" ~ $2.00. Increases skin absorption potential. Hydrates with nutrients and moisturize with natural ingredient essences.

I have tried a few of these Nature Republic mask sheets - but not the Avocado mask. I know avocado to be a very moisturizing ingredient and it generally works well on my skin! I look forward to trying this mask!

Innisfree Skin Clinic Mask - "Vita C" ~ $3.04 CAN. This fine delicate cotton mask with functional whitening improving benefits contains vitamin C derivatives to brighten your dull skin, leaving it looking clear and radiant.

I have to say I LOVE the Innisfree skin clinic masks - they are probably my favorite mask sheets ever. The material is made out of 100% unbleached cotton mask is the best material I have ever used in a sheet mask! I actually ran out of skin clinic masks so I am happy to have one to use! So happy to see this mask in here!

Dr. Jart Dermask Water Jet Soothing Hydra Solution ~ $7.50 CAN. A cellulose sheet mask that hydrates, soothes, and calms the sensitive irritation of the dehydrated skin.

I was very excited to see a Dr. Jart mask included in the box!!! I have been wanting to try a Dr. Jart mask for so long! I actually reviewed this mask already since I couldn't wait to dig in to it - you can see my review oh this mask here! I was very happy to see a higher end mask like this included (and it did not disappoint!)

Rainbow Beauty - SOC Animal Cuite Mask Pack Anti-Wrinkle Collagen (Tiger) ~ $4.90. Brightening and Lifting effect. Offers deep hydration and nutrients to your skin.

Ah yes, I love animal masks - they are so much fun! This mask will make me look like a tiger while improving my skin texture and appearance! These masks always make masking a good time - hopefully this works well too!

So the January In8Beauty Box came with 5 masks with a total value of $19.44 - I tried to find these masks on Canadian or US sites so you can get a true comparison. You can likely find some of these masks for cheaper on international sites, but then you are factoring shipping or a long wait, etc. They have already done the hard part of getting all the product to Canada and then shipping out!

I know from other mask subscriptions, that it isn't all about the value of the products, but more about the curation and trying fun new products! I love the selection of masks I received - I thought this had a good mix of well known brands, a brand I was excited to try and a new brand to me! I thought the variety of masks they included was good!

The one thing that really hurts new Canadian subscriptions is our shipping costs here in Canada! I know that this is not a new problem and it has been ongoing with quite a few companies that eventually make packaging smaller to save costs to the company and the consumer. Right now, In8Beauty ships in a really cute little box, but potentially if they wanted to lower the shipping costs to encourage more people to try out new masks, they may consider shipping in a bag/pouch!

Overall, I was happy with the masks I received this month - I hope over the next few months they continue to send out new brands and different styles of masks!
